A Day of Care, A Ray of Hope — Free Medical Camp at Baithak School Gulbahar Campus

22 September — Gulbahar Al-Furqan Campus (Central)

A powerful step towards community well-being took place as Baithak School Network hosted a free medical camp in collaboration with Revive & Umeed Welfare, with support from partnering hospitals and a medical university. A team of four senior doctors and thirty-three 3rd and 4th year medical students combined professional expertise with compassionate service to support underserved families.

The camp delivered vital screenings, diagnoses, and referrals that reached children, women, and local residents in need of immediate attention.

Key Impact and Services

  • Eye Care for Students

Over 60–65 schoolchildren received full eye examinations. Several eye conditions were detected and referred for timely treatment.

  • Health Screenings for Women

More than 250 women underwent blood pressure checks, sugar testing, and general health assessments. Several high-risk hypertension cases were identified and properly guided towards follow-up care.

  • Diagnosis of Serious Conditions

Cases including Hepatitis and other health concerns were detected, with urgent referrals made to ensure proper medical attention.

  • Men’s Health Support

Around 15 men from the community received complete medical check-ups.

In total, the camp served approximately 350 individuals in a single day. Among them, 10–15 people required immediate hospital care and were successfully connected to appropriate services.

Community Response

Parents, residents, and the participating doctors expressed heartfelt appreciation for the initiative. The event not only addressed urgent medical needs but also strengthened trust and connection between the school and the community.

This was more than just a camp — it was a reminder that when education and healthcare come together, communities are empowered to heal and grow.
