From Student to Educator: The Inspiring Journey of Mehreen Tahir at Baithak School Network

In the heart of Barkat Town, Lahore, where access to quality education remains a challenge, a young girl named Mehreen Tahir began a journey that would later inspire many others. The daughter of a police officer, Mehreen’s parents initially enrolled her in a nearby private school. However, the lack of proper teaching and student attention left them concerned about her future.

That’s when a turning point arrived—her cousin, the Principal at Baithak School Network’s Barkat Town Campus, recommended enrolling Mehreen at Baithak School. Known for its unique blend of academic excellence and Islamic education, Baithak School became the foundation of Mehreen’s transformation.

“At Baithak, I learned discipline, manners, and how to differentiate between right and wrong. It built my character along with my education,” Mehreen shared.

After completing her primary education at Baithak, Mehreen’s strong academic base allowed her to skip Grade 6 and gain direct admission into Grade 7 at her next school. Her educational journey continued with great success. She completed her matriculation, pursued a Bachelor’s degree from Government Women’s Degree College, and later achieved a Master’s in Urdu from Punjab University. Today, Mehreen is preparing to begin her MPhil studies.

Yet, her proudest achievement lies beyond degrees.

Inspired by her own experience at Baithak School, Mehreen made a life-changing decision—she returned to Baithak as a teacher. She wanted to give back to the same community that uplifted her, helping underprivileged children receive the quality education they deserve.

“When children from low-income areas get proper education, they don’t just change their own lives—they contribute to Pakistan’s progress,” she said with passion.

Today, Mehreen Tahir is a dedicated educator at Baithak School Network, guiding the next generation with the same care and values she once received. Her journey from a student to a teacher is a powerful reminder of what is possible when we invest in education for underserved communities.
