Lahore, Pakistan – A free medical camp was successfully conducted at Baithak School Network Dubban Pura campus in Lahore by the Pakistan Islamic Medical Association – Women Wing Lahore, bringing essential healthcare services directly to underserved students and their families.
A dedicated team of doctors, including Dr. Filza Afaq, Dr. Misbah, Dr. Farah Farooq, Dr. Farah, Dr. Amna, Dr. Anna, Dr. Amna Ghaffar, Dr. Rehab, and Dr. Warda, worked under the supervision of Dr. Rehana Babar to examine a total of 120 students.
During the camp, several critical health conditions were identified and addressed, including anemia, malnutrition, upper respiratory infections, scabies, intestinal worm infestation, and dental caries. The initiative ensured that students received timely diagnosis and necessary treatment, addressing health challenges that often impact their learning and development.
In addition to student care, mothers were actively engaged through a dedicated awareness session focusing on nutrition, child health, hygiene, and overall well-being. Special attention was given to mothers in need, particularly those experiencing anemia or lactation-related health concerns, with supplements provided to support their health.
All prescribed medicines and supplements were generously sponsored by Omar Maatouq and Nadia Babar, ensuring that every child—and their families—received comprehensive care without financial burden.
This impactful initiative highlighted the importance of integrating health with education. By addressing medical needs alongside academic development, Baithak School Network continues to create a holistic environment where children can thrive.
The success of the medical camp reinforces a powerful message: a healthy child is a better learner, and investing in both health and education paves the way for a brighter, more empowered future.
