Lahore, Pakistan: Baithak School Zaheer Babar Campus, Gujjumata Lahore, recently hosted a comprehensive medical camp organized by Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA) under its dedicated child health program, SOCH (Safe Obstetrics & Child Health).
The initiative aimed to provide essential healthcare services to students, ensuring early diagnosis and timely treatment of common medical conditions. A total of 73 students received complete health screenings, including vision tests, dental examinations, height and weight assessments, and general medical checkups.
The medical evaluations identified several treatable health concerns among students:
Impaired vision: 12 cases
Dental caries: 18 cases
Heart disease: 1 case
Anemia: 10 cases
Respiratory infections: 2 cases
Worm infestation: 5 cases
Skin infection: 1 case
All prescribed medicines were provided free of cost, generously arranged by Dr. Rehana Babar, ensuring that every child received immediate care and relief without financial burden.
