Shield & PIMA Promote Oral Health at Baithak School Sikanderabad
Karachi: In a meaningful step toward community health and hygiene awareness, Baithak School Network hosted a Dental Health Awareness Session at its Sikanderabad Campus in collaboration with Shield and Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA).
The session was led by Dr. Umama Batool, Incharge of Relief Dentistry (Karachi), who delivered an informative and interactive presentation on oral hygiene and preventive dental care.
Children and their mothers attended the session, where they were educated about proper brushing techniques, the importance of maintaining daily oral hygiene, and preventive measures to avoid common dental problems. The session aimed to transform simple habits into lifelong healthy practices, especially among children from underserved communities.
Adding practical support to the awareness initiative, Shield generously sponsored toothpaste and toothbrushes for all participants. The distribution ensured that families could immediately implement the guidance shared during the session and maintain good oral care routines at home.
Representatives from Baithak School Network appreciated the collaborative effort, highlighting that health and education go hand in hand. Through partnerships like this, Baithak continues to expand its impact beyond academics, focusing on the overall well-being of its students and their families.
