A Carpenter's Son

Sufyan Samiullah, Class-4, Baithak School Swat

In the serene valleys of Swat, nine-year-old Sufyan is rewriting the narrative of resilience and dreams. A dedicated Class 4 student at Baithak School, his day begins with the soulful recitation of the Quran, a peaceful ritual that fuels his passion for learning, especially in science and computers.

As the son of a skilled carpenter, Sufyan balances school and family responsibilities. After school, he joins his father in their modest carpentry shop, surrounded by the aroma of freshly cut wood. Here, he learns the art of woodworking and proudly supports his family, which includes his five younger siblings.

Yet, in the quiet moments between the hum of machinery and the clink of hammers, Sufyan’s mind wanders to his dreams. He sees himself as a software engineer, a creator of innovative solutions that could transform lives. His vision doesn’t stop there. Sufyan dreams of building a state-of-the-art furniture factory for his father—a place where his Baba’s craftsmanship can shine and flourish on a grand scale.

“Sufyan has big dreams, and I want him to achieve success in life,” says his father,
whose support motivates Sufyan to dream beyond their current circumstances.

The story of Sufyan is an inspiring example of how determination, education, and a supportive family can pave the way for a brighter future. At Baithak School, Sufyan not only thrives in academics but also builds the foundation for a life of purpose and achievement.
