Teachers Who Inspire - The Heart of Baithak

At Baithak School Network, teachers are more than educators, they are mentors, motivators, and changemakers. They are the heart of Baithak, inspiring students not only to learn but to lead, give back, and uplift others. Through free education, compassion, and community empowerment, these teachers continue to shape futures and prove that education’s true power lies in touching hearts as much as minds.

In the heart of Barkat Town, Lahore, where access to quality education remains a challenge, a young girl named Mehreen Tahir began a journey that would later inspire many others. The daughter of a police officer, Mehreen’s parents initially enrolled her in a nearby private school. However, the lack of proper teaching and attention left them concerned about her progress.

That’s when a turning point arrived—her cousin, the Principal at Baithak School Network’s Barkat Town Campus, suggested enrolling her at Baithak. Known for its unique blend of academic excellence and Islamic education, Baithak School became the foundation of Mehreen’s transformation.

“At Baithak, I learned discipline, manners, and how to differentiate between right and wrong. It built my character along with my education,” Mehreen shared.

After completing her primary education at Baithak, Mehreen’s strong academic base allowed her to skip Grade 6 and gain direct admission into Grade 7 at her next school. Her educational journey continued with distinction — she completed her matriculation, pursued a Bachelor’s degree from Government Women’s Degree College, and later earned a Master’s in Urdu from Punjab University. Today, she is preparing to begin her MPhil studies.

Yet, her proudest achievement lies beyond degrees. Inspired by her own teachers at Baithak, Mehreen chose to return — not as a student, but as an educator. She wanted to give back to the same institution that nurtured her confidence and built her character

“When children from low-income areas get proper education, they don’t just change their own lives—they contribute to Pakistan’s progress,” she said passionately.

Today, Mehreen Tahir stands as a dedicated teacher at Baithak School Network, guiding young learners with the same love, patience, and purpose she once received. Her journey from student to mentor beautifully reflects the transformative power of education and the lasting impact of teachers who truly inspire.

At Baithak, educators like Mehreen embody the spirit of the network — they are the beating heart behind every success story, proving that teachers don’t just fill minds with knowledge; they fill lives with hope. Through their commitment, Baithak School Network continues to change lives one child at a time, creating a ripple of inspiration that reaches far beyond the classroom walls.
