Class-4 Student, Baithak School Barket Town, Lahore
In a small, bustling neighborhood of Barkat Town Lahore, Hadia begins her day with a school bag on her back and a spark of excitement in her eyes. Hadia studies in class 4 at a Baithak School near her home. Every morning, she eagerly heads to class, where dedicated teachers help her learn and grow. But her day doesn’t end with the school bell.
After school, Hadia returns home to assist her mother, Shomaila Anis, in making ice cream sticks—a small but essential source of income for their family of eight. Her father works at a furniture store, polishing wood, but struggles to find regular work. With inconsistent income, the family relies on Shomaila’s (mother of Hadia) at-home efforts to help make ends meet.
Shomaila herself could only study up to grade 6 due to early marriage and financial constraints, but she dreams of a different future for her children. With five daughters and one son, she wants all of them to achieve what she couldn’t: education, confidence, and success.
“Baithak is a blessing for families like ours,” Shomaila shares. “They make education accessible to people who thought it was out of reach. Four of my children study at Baithak, and I want my daughters to grow up to be confident, educated women who can take on any challenge. Baithak is helping us achieve that dream.”
Four of Shomaila’s children, including Hadia, are fortunate enough to receive the support of Baithak’s affordable, high-quality education. Hadia not only manages school responsibilities but excels in her studies—pushing boundaries beyond the limitations she faces at home. For Shomaila, Baithak isn’t just a school; it’s a lifeline that helps her children progress towards a brighter, more successful future.
Hadia Shahbaz’s story is a testament to the transformative power of education. With the dedication of her parents and the guidance of Baithak School, Hadia’s future is brighter, and she is on her way to achieving her dreams.
